When You are Standing Before the River of Change

Many people avoid change, many fear it; some wait for it with impatience, while others dive straight into its whirlpool.

When you find yourself standing before the river of change, the first thing that touches you is the wind of uncertainty. It stirs your thoughts and emotions, shaping a silent sculpture of fear that grows larger with every passing moment.

"How Is Change Managed? General Approaches"

The river before you seems fuller, deeper, colder, and rockier than it truly is. And the mere thought of dipping your foot into the water sends a shiver through your entire body. The roar of the water tangles your thoughts even more: should you go back or move forward? But there is no way back! You’ve already come from a place where everything was the same. Every single day! Feelings, emotions, and daily actions had piled up into a swamp where only weeds grew and the same frogs croaked endlessly.
But what lies beyond the river?
You cannot fully see it. Trees block your view. Yet the very fact that the trees are lush, green, and alive is already a hopeful sign. Maybe crossing the river isn’t such a bad idea after all. Maybe it’s worth discovering what lies behind those beautiful trees.
At this moment, curiosity must overcome uncertainty, and the joy of discovering something new must defeat fear. These are what will lead you with light, confident steps through the river that once seemed so frightening.
And when you finally take your first step into the water, you realize it isn’t as cold as you imagined. The stones aren’t as sharp or as large as they appeared from afar. Looking ahead, you notice a rainbow rising, calling you with its colors toward new discoveries, new knowledge, new sensations, and new emotions. The swamp, the weeds, and the croaking frogs stay behind you, and ahead of you unfolds a wondrous place full of things to learn and enjoy until…
… until you reach the next river of change.
