Lead with Excellence

Hasmig Daniel -MCC Master NLP Trainer | Leadership Trainer | Mentor | Motivational Speaker

Leaders who value teamwork, utilize technology, develop emotional intelligence, adapt to workplace changes, and promote continual learning are inclined to thrive.

The importance of adaptability in leadership emphasizes that those who evolve are more likely to succeed. Educating leaders in organizations is a non-stop journey because the landscape of business and leadership is constantly evolving. Great leadership goes beyond managing tasks or directing teams; it’s about creating a compelling vision that inspires others to take action. Leaders who lead with purpose have the unique ability to articulate a clear vision, align their teams around shared goals, and motivate others to strive toward a common objective.

As a mentor, trainer, coach and speaker certified by John C Maxwell of Leadership Academy in USA we emphasize that leadership is an ongoing journey of personal development, influence, and service to others. Our principles encourage leaders to focus on continuous learning, building strong relationships, and leading with integrity and vision by understanding that:

  • Leadership is influence because true leadership is about influencing others, not about titles or positions. Hence effective leaders inspire, motivate, and guide others through their influence.
  • Leadership ability is the lid that determines a person’s level of effectiveness because a person’s leadership ability determines how effectively they can lead and succeed. The higher the leadership ability, the greater the potential for success.
  • Effective leadership starts with self-leadership. Before you can lead others, you must have a strong sense of self-discipline, self-awareness, and personal growth. Remember, “The first person you lead is you.”
  • Great leaders are committed to continuous learning. They understand that growth and learning are essential to stay relevant and effective in leadership roles.
  • The leader should create vision and build trust because as John C Maxwell said “People buy into the leader before they buy into the vision. It is crucial for the team to trust and believe in their leader. Simply the followers in order to embrace a vision, they need to trust the leader who presents it.
  • Leaders must add value by serving others, simply because they are advocates for servant leadership, where their primary focus is to serve others, adding value to their lives and helping them grow.
  • Leadership is about people not titles, positions or flowcharts. I believe that leadership is fundamentally about relationships and the ability to positively impact others’ lives.
  • Leadership is a journey that develops daily and not in a day. Remember becoming an effective leader is a continuous process that requires daily commitment and consistent effort.
  • The importance of character in leadership is crucial. Because talent is a gift, but character is a choice. While talent can take a leader to a certain level, it is character that sustains their success and influence.

Leaders need to embark on a path of personal development, influence, and service to others in order to acquire and preserve the preceding leadership abilities. Leading with integrity and vision, as well as fostering great connections, are the three main things that leaders need to concentrate on. Hence by focusing on these core areas, leaders can sustain their effectiveness, inspire their teams, and drive positive outcomes in their organizations.

For me leadership is the art of achieving goals through the effective direction and collaboration of others. A true leader is someone who consistently inspires and guides their team to reach specific objectives, regardless of the challenges or changing circumstances. A great leader excels at this not just once, but repeatedly, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment over time.
